3. **30 minutes stretching/rehab** Yes body is feeling better every day and routine is becoming more polished
4. **Gym** Biked this morning for 45 minutes and evening 50 minutes
5. **No sweets** No sweets just a kiwi after evening meal
6. **Bedtime routine**About to get started
Check ins are on track and feel like we are coordinating well to add support to each other
Have gym at 9am tomorrow

6/10 used my phone late at night for first time in a long time to read more about the test we all took and paid the price by struggling to fall asleep in a timely manner.
Morning has been great though!
Gym and laundry already done and just stretching my neck a little as I can feel it just grumbling at me a fraction.
Have rest of my day mapped out and life is good!

Ok back on track with posting!
8/10 slept well but not as long as I would of liked as had another’s late night. Managed to make it to gym for exercise but shoulder and neck not feeling great today after BJJ yesterday so did some core and cardio. Lot of work on my plate right now but think I have gameplan in place to handle it!

Super long day at work but got a lot done and now heading up my department which gives me a little more freedom with how I delegate tasks.

10/10 A morning I need to hold as the benchmark for my standard morning! Woke up feeling well rested had my 1 8 minute snooze allowance then got up did 30 minutes of work and business emails that needed responses and then had 45 minute bike ride with the pup. Quick breakfast and hydration then off to BJJ for 2 hours then grabbed lunch on the way home had a shower and food  and attacking my workload for the rest of the afternoon.

3. **30 minutes stretching/rehab** Yes stretched and had 1 hr massage and work done by Annaliese
4. **Gym** Biked this evening for 45 minutes and went to the gym for 45 minutes of light free weights and stretching
5. **No sweets** Had some sparkling apple cider
6. **Bedtime routine**About to get started but concerned my throat is going to make sleeping difficult
Check ins were not my best work today but had very nice call with Sorenson and have one scheduled with Claire for tomorrow

Where did I go right this week?
Dash work was built on good communication with my team and the management. I insulated my proposal auditing team from a lot of the noise and distractions of the rest of my department and created a good focused work environment for my inexperienced team to learn the workflow and formatting requirements of the job. I made sure to keep the communication clear and fostered an environment of teamwork and positive energy which contrasted significantly to some of the other department areas which are falling apart in my opinion. Had nice call with Sorenson and we both recognize the warning signs and key factors that keep us on track and what indicates the likely event of the wheels coming off and how to respond well before the train crashes and burns!
Had frank and difficult conversations with Annaliese about my needs in the relationship and although I don’t know if they will lead to a break up or strengthening of the relationship it needed to happen and I appreciate the support and advice from the group on some difficult emotional unpacking. I have gotten sick since Thursday and although I haven’t been updating in the forum well I haven’t let my grip at Dash fall away and have managed to delegate and communicate responsibilities to my team so work has continued to progress. Set up plans with people I enjoy seeing or spending time doing an activity with (tennis and bjj) and have been proactive in reaching out to people to set up times to socialize. Have been sleeping well this week although while sick the schedule has been off but definitely falling asleep well and sleeping undisturbed more often.

How can I apply this to the coming week?
Continue picking the right ways to motivate my team.
Do not let the confusion and finger pointing of the rest of my department to suck me in or distract my team.
Ask for a pay raise

Where did I come up short this week?
Posting on DT
Checking in with partners (need to get my reminders reset for both Claire and Sorenson
Food! Being sick has meant I haven’t been mainting my regular meal plans and lack of exercise
Feeling less charitable and prone to seeing the negatives in Annaliese
Neck and body is not progressing as I would like and feel a little dispirited and frustrated


How will I prevent this in the coming week? (note, there must be a strategy in play "I just won't do it again" or similar answers do not count)
Setting specific times for posting 9:30am and 9pm
Checking with partners for preferred time check ins and acting accordingly
Not rushing back to exercising as I get back to healthy but short bike rides and stretching sessions planned daily
Meditation to help with my resentment and negative attitude towards Annaliese and her actions
Scheduled massages for neck and back and acceptance that I cannot rush the healing process and that constant improvement everyday is not necessarily how rehab works. Try and see longer term than daily metrics and using Poker results as reminder of that fact

What obstacles will I be facing next week?
- People
not allowing bosses to suck me in to the drama of the web development disaster
Communicate with open mind and supportive attitude with Annaliese but avoid being the white knight rescuing damsels in distress and doing the work for them
Monitor expectations with Dash team and allow my team to make mistakes and receive feedback if those mistakes are then addressed and progress is made. Ease up on the expectation of perfection from people doing the best they currently can
-deadlines
Focus on my teams deadlines and don’t get distracted by the deadlines I can’t control
Hold team accountable for the deadlines I set them

- Personal
Allow myself to rest and recover (staying sick longer than I should if I took care of myself better doesn’t help me or my work)

What do I plan on doing to address the obstacles?
At work: Honest conversation about my limitations with additional tasks outside of my designated workload so I don’t get sucked into the cluster fuck brewing  
I have our project manager helping me create the deadlines and workflow system for my team so I don’t run the risk of missing deadlines and can focus on the work and training
Positive reenforcement with Annaliese when I see progress with work and health goals and staying away from getting too involved in creating the progress for her myself.
Vitamins and hydration to help speedy recovery

When are partner phone calls this week?
Peyt 5pm PST Thursday
Claire 2pm PST Thursday text checks in 8-9am PST and 3pm PST

4. **Gym** No (ended up having to bike the dog this evening because Annaliese is now sick and was in bed and he needed to be exercised)
5. **No sweets** been eating juice popsicles for my throat all day
6. **Bedtime routine**About to get started but never the easiest when feeling sick to fall asleep smoothly

Peak of my sickness and now Annaliese seems to be sick also! Could be a rough couple of days coming up but hopeful I will feel better after a good nights sleep

Ate healthy and productive at work but rest of my list just slipped by me today
Really starts with a good morning routine and I sucked hard this morning!
Alarm set and coffee prepped so I can get a quick and productive start in the am.
Checks in were ok but not at the correct time with work and my phone in the other room while I was working.

8/10 but Poker game was very good last night and ended up staying really late at the casino to play so my routine is a bit off today but managed a workout and am now at the dog park

Oh separate note thank you Peyt for some good advice and calming words today. Thank you Sorenson for letting me text vent for a little it really helped. Thank you Claire for checking in with me and coming to pick me up on a Thursday from the airport!

I am alive and haven’t eaten any sugar so I guess technically I am managing at least 1 of my goals!
Stuck in bed recovering with serious headache and fever but hoping the fever will break today and I will sleep better.
Thanks for the check ins sorry I haven’t managed to check in with everyone else much but I slip in and out of sleep a lot.
I got an email that they cancelled my flight yesterday so not sure I would of made it on time anyway
